New Music, Award Nominations and More!!
Hey there!
It’s been a busy last couple of weeks for me! First and most exciting, I have a new track that I just finished in LA with producer, Jack D. Elliot. “I’ll Find A Way” is a writing child of myself, Jack D. Elliot and Jemma Elliot and I couldn’t be happier with it! Keep your eyes and ears open in the next couple of months for it’s release along with some remixes for the dance floor!
I am thrilled and honored to have been nominated for 3 OutMusic Awards! Best Album of The Year, Best Electro/Dance Artist, and Outstanding Single. If you’re in NYC on December 8th, get a ticket and come down to see to show! It should be quite amazing with all of the GLBT talent from around the country!
I’ll be back in the studio with Jack and Jemma again in December to complete a second track that we started on our last session. It’s gonna be HOT!
Until then, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving if I don’t write before then!

Boston Pride
Hey gang!
Well, Boston pride was amazing and I couldn’t be happier with the show! It was an amazing day in terms of weather and the crowd was ready for some serious sangin! Performing before Taylor Dayne was an honor and, of course, she rocked the house. Checkout the review of pride at Bay Windows Magazine.
The set up was pretty great with the stage and sound being nothing but the best. After sound check the boys (dancers) and I chilled for a few hours before showtime. If you didn’t catch the show there are videos posted by fans on YouTube…just search Brian Kent and Boston to find them and check out the show.
On another note, if you haven’t seen the exclusive mini documentary RJO did on the behind the scenes of Boston Pride, you got a check it out below or go to my YouTube Channel where you can catch all my official videos!
Off to Olympia for pride this weekend! Pray for great weather!
Until later,
Brian

It is a rare and difficult feat for anyone to make his dream a reality, but BRIAN KENT is living proof that talent, ambition and belief will take you to amazing places. With years in entertainment, touring as part of a company or backing up vocalists like Kristine W., BRIAN KENT decided to focus on his love of songwriting and performing and has brought his own solo talent to life in his full length debut “Breathe Life.” This collection of songs is a high-energy, emotional voyage in music expressed in radio-ready and club-friendly tracks. These are songs that literally pulsate with Brian Kent’s signature charisma, passion and emotionality. Released in 2008, the content of “Breathe Life” continues to grab listeners instantly by speaking to the truth of life’s relationships and narrates the journey of awareness, discovery and recovery of one’s authentic self. With the newest single “Whatcha’ Doin To Me” already hitting the Billboard Club Charts and his second making it to #1 on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Hot 20 Charts, Recording Artist BRIAN KENT is making his mark on the music industry, proving that dancing is the very best medicine for all of life’s challenges. In a relatively short period of time, Brian has developed a major fan base independently. Distributed by Centaur Entertainment to retail nationwide and digitally worldwide, the result is simply infectious.
Brian has succeeded in creating a major buzz across the nation this past couple of years to build up to the present. His videos for “Breathe Life” directed by Loic Maes (Infernal) and “I’m Not Crazy”, directed by Jorg Fockele (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy) spread quickly to dance clubs, video bars and lounges across the country through Promo Only, Rock America and Screenplay by Import Sound & Vision. These videos spent weeks on the Top 10 countdown show The Click List on LOGO causing Brian to be voted one of the Top Artists of The Year on their end of the year special. The videos were also seen on HBO Zone, VH1.com and here! TV Networks. Brian’s music was also licensed to Tori Spelling’s film Kiss the Bride , Project Runway – Season 5’s finale and his track “Drive” hit #1 on Sirius Radio’s Hot 20 Charts. This allowed Brian to make a name for himself nationally and tour the country, hitting many Pride Festivals and opening for such artists as Crystal Waters, Kristine W. and Martha Wash.
Brian released his own dance version of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’ in 2005 which created the word of mouth that marked his debut single. With this release, Brian scored the praise of such spinners as Twisted Dee, Julian Marsh, Randy Bettis, Warren Gluck and Brett Henrichsen (Masterbeat Records).
Brian co-wrote and collaborated with amazing talent to bring “Breathe Life” to life. The producers on the album include Jack D. Elliot (Reina, Kristine W) and Chico from Rizz-One Entertainment (Junior Vasquez, Katherine McPhee). Zhana Saunders, who has performed with such great artists as Taylor Dayne and Dee-Lite, co-wrote and performed on many of the tracks with Brian. The amazing Janice Robinson, known for her #1 hit Dreamer, also lends her writing skills to one of the tracks on the record (I Pray). The single and title track Breathe Life was written and produced by Jack D. Elliot for JDE Music who has also worked with such great artists as Nick Lachey, NSync and Britney Spears and Diane Warren.

Nebraska Pride
I can’t begin to tell you how much fun Nebraska Pride was!!
Friday night I went down to D.C.’s Saloon for a meet and greet! They were kind enough to sponsor me for the event so I popped in to meet some of the locals! The night was great and everyone was so nice! Those mid-westerners know how to treat a boy!
Saturday night, me and my boys rocked with Omaha and had a blast! Outside of a couple of what seemed to be tornado like storms, the weather upheld! Kristine W was amazing as always and the hilarious Christine O’Leary kept us doubled over the whole time! I even got to hang with the talented Guy B who performed a number right before my set!
Thanks to Johnnie, Chelle, and EVERYONE involved with Nebraska Pride for making my experience so amazing. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!
Off to Olympia Pride……..
New Deal with Centaur!!
Hey everyone!
Sorry it has been so long since my last post, things have been CRAZY and time just seems to slip away!
On the exciting news front, I signed a distribution with Centaur Entertainment! For those of you who don’t know what that means, let me explain. Basically a distributor will make sure that my albums get onto the shelves of retail chains and stores all over the country and Canada. This will allow my fans to easily purchase my album in their home towns without having to order it over the internet. So many people, myself included, still love to have the actual physical CD as opposed to just the files downloaded.
Now the job is to get to those albums ordered by stores to sell so tell your friends and family to check their local retail outlets for a copy!
I have tons of performance and tour dates coming up in the next month along with the release of the album and a new video almost completed for Breathe Life!!
I promise to keep up this BLOG a lot more with lots of exciting information, dish, behind the scenes, and perspectives!
Till then!
Brian
